| I've just been running my own program these days. Just work, and
taking care of other things. I guess this is me settling into
becoming an adult and having some semblance of responsibility.
Good stuff; my mom is in Korea, so I have to clean the house, cook for
my dad (aka safeway), do my own laundry.
But the thing is, its actually kind of nice. I've never really
been so alone, but I've never been so ... I don't know,
like...relaxed? I guess thats the closest word I can get right
now.
btw: Dan Wilson, thanks for 12 years of great service; it's too
bad the game I went to on Friday wasn't Dan Wilson appreciation night
(that was saturday), but it was watch the Mariner's lose 5-0 to the A's
night. :)

| So today I fell asleep on the bus and lost both my smartkeys for
work. The one for amazon and the one for my building.
Nice. I can hear my conversations tomorrow:
Boss: Hey Josh why were you late?
Me : I lost my smartkey.
Boss : Have your things out by the end of the day.
Being responsible sucks. Life = work, and when I sleep I dream
about work, no joke. Annd even when I'm at work, I think of
work. Sounds funny, but think about it; I actually thing about
being at work while at work. And man, taxes. I swear I
liked making $8.50/hour, since they took so little away. What the
hell is social security anyways?
btw if anyone needs an awesome referral to amazon let me know; I can hook it up.

| first day of work. So I had to go for new hire orientation at the
PacMed building (the orange building off of I90 on that hill).
Then had the most wretchingly boring 3.5 hours of my life. The
only high point of orientation was when a girl sitting near me spilled
coffee all over herself
Moved then to Bank of America Tower, where I will be. My cube is
like 1.4 km away from my boss wth, so I have to walk around the entire
building to ask him how to turn on my computer. I'll be moving
nearer (is that a word?) to my team on the 23rd so no qualms. Plus I
got a free new laptop! I was using it to go on myspace during
orientation haha, I'm such a model employee.

| Even longer since an update; I don't even know if people read this anymore but...
2005...an interesting year. Good things and bad, but moreover,
the end of a phase and the segway into another phase...adulthood
(sorta). I've had sometime to reflect, and this is what I've come
up with
Pros:
Got outta UW
Got a job
Extra free time
Cons:
No more UW
Working at said job
Too much free time
Resolutions:
Go back to UW (grad school?)
Work well at job (basically don't get canned)
Use free time productively (aka no more watching america's next top model)
Recently I went to my church's winter retreat and stuff, and I have
pictures up. In addition to those, I have some other random ones
up if you guys are bored at work and are just xangaing it up. www.flickr.com/photos/josua
Well I start work on the 9th. I know there was alotta drama
about
my job, but now I have one permanent forever one; I'm working at
amazon in Seattle. So if anyone is in the vicinity and wants to
go to lunch with me, please lets go, oh yeah, I should add "don't be a
loner" in my resolutions. I'm at the Bank of America tower (7th
and Columbia I think) so yeah; for those who don't know which it is,
its that mongloid black one. So to everyone, have a Happy New
Year, I hope that everyone receives and accomplishes everything they
set out to this year. I wish the best for everyone, so good luck,
and good night.
oh BTW I know I'm a jerk but I just had to share this. My cousin
from Korea is applying for some colleges in the US. He's in
Canada and he sent me his letter to a college for me to
proofread. Now hes my cousin and of course I like him, but I just
had to share this engrish with you guys.
"Like the raw gem gets refined to
gets its real beauty, I believe that the ******* University
will refine my potentials and make me graduated with beautiful gemstones that
are refined by *******
University."
How can he NOT get in with that?

| long time since an update...
Well not much has happened really, except for now I am in the thick of
the job hunt. Finished up Merrill, now all I have left is their
Halloween Party haha. I'm pretty nervous cuz tomorrow I have
lunch with the Managing Director of Navigant Consulting, and I don't
want to do anything stupid like spit food out of my mouth.
Crap. Other than that I've been interviewing at kpmg and wamu,
and quellos; but those quellos jerks decided "to move forward with
other applicants." haha, thats a nice way of saying "get outta my
face." Haha man I hope i get a job.
I miss school, I've been on campus mon, tues and wed : mon and tuesday
for interviews, and wednesday to drop someone off. Man school
would be fun if you don't have hw and tests haha. If anyone can
give me an excuse to go to campus let me know.
